It’s National Pet Dental Health Month
(But its not just for dogs!)

February is Responsible Pet Owners Month – A Little Love, Please!

4 Tips for Giving Pets as Christmas Gifts
With Christmas just around the corner, FCVC feels like you do – pets are wonderful and everyone should have one, or two or more. (Hopefully that elicited a smile). But then again maybe, or maybe not. Animal Safety and Protection Tips For Your Pets
Protecting your dog or cat is a pet owner’s primary responsibility. FCVC knows this isn’t easy in the world we live in. Unlike the dog in our picture, you can’t just wrap them up in a protective bag to keep them safe. Things just happen. They eat things they shouldn’t. They wander off in that second you weren’t looking. They get in fights with other pet friends. However, you can take preparedness steps so that you aren’t caught totally off-guard
National Feral Cat Day aka Global Cat Day
FCVC knows there are many, many feral cats in the world. They do not have forever homes and they generally would not be comfortable there, having been raised in the wild. Yes, it is a real thing, unfortunately. FCVC hopes you are NOT afraid of black dogs (or black cats!). As you read this article and watch the video below, you will find that there is a real bias against black coated pets, known as Black Dog Syndrome (BDS).
However, we believe informed pet parents can make a difference when it comes to making their next choice of a pet. On this Oct 1st, which is also National Black Dog Day, we would ask you to please consider: 1) an older shelter or rescue pet and 2) take a look at a black coated pet first.
