Have questions about your pet’s prescriptions?

Yes. We offer many medications in-house, and there is no prescription (RX) processing fee for medications picked up directly from our hospital.

Which online pharmacies can I use without a prescription fee?

We partner with the following approved online pharmacies, all of which have no RX processing fee:

  • Blue Rabbit
  • Purina

These pharmacies work directly with our medical system, allowing for faster approvals and fewer errors.

What if I want to use a different pharmacy?

You may use any pharmacy of your choice. For pharmacies outside our approved partners, we provide a written prescription and a $10 prescription processing fee applies.

Why is there a fee for written prescriptions?

Managing outside prescriptions is time-intensive. Our staff must review medical records, confirm dosing, and prepare documentation that could otherwise be spent caring for patients. Written prescriptions also reduce the risk of errors compared to verbal communication.

    Why do you recommend your approved online pharmacies?

    Online pharmacies are minimally regulated, and we cannot guarantee the quality, storage, or authenticity of medications filled outside our clinic. Our approved partners meet specific standards and integrate directly with our system, helping ensure accuracy, safety, and reliability.

    Not always. Large corporations may advertise low prices, but those prices often don’t include rebates, manufacturer guarantees, or bundled savings.     What if you don’t carry the medication and my pet needs it right away?

    If a medication is not stocked in our hospital and your pet cannot wait for online delivery, we will call the prescription into a local pharmacy at no charge to ensure timely treatment.

    Can you call in prescriptions to any pharmacy?

    We typically provide written prescriptions for outside pharmacies. Phone-in prescriptions are reserved for urgent situations when a medication is not available in-house and immediate treatment is necessary.
