American Humane created this month’s campaign to spotlight how many animals are waiting to get their permanent homes. Maybe you can help?:

What Can An Adopted Dog Bring To Your Life?

Ready to adopt? Find a shelter near you!
Your local shelter is the perfect place during Adopt A Dog Month® to find dogs of every breed, size, age and personality — all waiting for a loving home. Or if you prefer a particular breed that isn’t currently available at a shelter, go online to find a legitimate breed-specific rescue group in need of adopters.
FCVC has made it easy for you to find the perfect shelter or rescue dog with the Adopt-A-Pet widget on our home page. You can browse through the pets at 17,000+ shelters, narrowing it down to the ones closest to you. We hope you will choose a pet from a rescue or shelter and not buy one from a puppy mill.
